The Fox Who Learned to Dance with Time
The Fox Who Learned to Dance with Time, written by Andrea Piaget
This brief fable is about a fox who learned to dance with time. His dancing expresses his joie de vivre. Even though he is originally magical and timeless, he lands on Earth through imagination. In his journey, he finds a pocket watch in a hunter's case and discovers time. Fearlessly, he decides to become a part of time by doing something he loves—dancing with it!
Oliver is timeless; therefore, he does not know what time it is now. He can travel through time and space without aging because he is, after all, magical. It was tranquil while Oliver roamed through the forests of planet Earth on a chilly winter day. Suddenly, to his sight, a golden star appeared amidst the ice crystals of snow.
Curious, Oliver tapped at the star with his bronze-colored paw. "Perhaps the star will wake up and return home to the sky," he thought. But instead of a star, a circular case opens, revealing a pocket watch within a hunter case held by a chain, both the color of the sun. What could this mysterious object be?
As Oliver notices a handle moving quickly within the watch, he instinctively follows its rhythm, moving his right paw from right to left, tick·tock. Then, from left to right, tick·tock. His left foot follows tick·tock·tick·tock. He dances with a freedom and joy that knows no bounds, his movements lighting up the snow.
Oliver's exuberant focus and charm illumined the snow with a fiery orange glow as he danced with time. Intrigued by it, he grabbed the pocket watch with his teeth and threw it to the sky, allowing it to fall around his collarbone confidently. The star Oliver had found on the frosty snow now rests on his chest, illuminating his way forward by the tic·tock·ing of life.
