The Keys to Time

The Keys to Time, written by Andrea Piaget

What if I told you that the simplicity of doing something worthwhile, of recognizing the intrinsic value of things, is rooted in humility? Many of you might disagree. Ten years ago, I would have too.

Nevertheless, doing something of genuine value has little to do with being extraordinary and plenty to do with having nurtured the ability to be present.

What I share with you, elegant reader, comes from a woman who has seen the world in abundant material splendor. Save your energy by not looking for the sparkle in all things, wide-eyed in search of the grandiose.

Waste, not your flame, beautiful soul, for the most genuine things of everlasting value are found at the center of your chest where your heart resides.

Pause to look, befriend your heart. It holds the keys to wisdom. It was revealed to me when I realized the lost time when I, in the lapse of youth, didn't consider and, through a lack of understanding, lost a grip on what was real because I was too impatient to be humble.
