The Process

Poems from the story, The Fabulous Life of Lisa Miracle, written by Andrea Piaget

The Process

Fear is an anxious emotion that sounds like breaking glass, turning hills into mountains, luring with its emotiveness to make believe it is more significant than what it is.

So then, what does it want? It wants to be heard and understood. It speaks to me in waves of emotion, guiding me to look within and what a journey it has been. Once I learned to listen, I became acquainted with its many gifts. Transforming anxiety into original beauty, unexpected opportunity, travel, words, and art.

Who knew I would find gold in the emotional crevasses I least wanted to observe, less understand?

Fervent Curiosity

I knocked on what I thought was the last door; the sound was hollow, and the emptiness it echoed chilled my bones.

I looked everywhere. So then, where is acceptance found? No door outside me seems to answer the constant fatigue of conditional love.

Can I be like a child again? Re-learning to love and heal without trying so hard to be perfect? I remember the times when I was awed by the sun. Or when I listened to my heartbeat humming a song originating from within.

It is the fervent curiosity of unconditional love that gave me the answer to genuine self-love in the form of questions. Who have I become? Where am I going?
